Grounded Care That Grows With You

This is a space for those who’ve carried heavy stories for far too long. At Roots & Juniper Psychology, I offer compassionate, personalized therapy for adults seeking to heal from trauma, neglect and the complicated impact of past experiences. Together, we’ll explore new ways of relating to yourself and others - with gentleness, honesty and space to grow into who you’re becoming.

Growth Begins with Safety and Strength

Why Trauma Counselling?

Build stronger, healthier relationships

You are not broken. You’ve adapted. And now it’s time to grow. With compassionate, expert care, you’ll begin to feel empowered - capable of facing challenges while staying grounded in your values and your truth

nourish resilience and self-worth

Healing from trauma includes learning how to trust again - both yourself and others. As your roots strengthen, you’ll gain tools to set boundaries, communicate with confidence and nurture more authentic connections.

Understand your emotions and responses

There’s nothing “wrong” with how you’re feeling. We’ll explore your emotions without judgment, helping you recognize survival patterns and shift them into something more supportive and sustainable.

Reconnect with your sense of self

Trauma can make you feel lost or disconnected from who you are. Together, we’ll work on rebuilding that connection developing stronger roots, a deeper understanding of yourself and a clearer path forward.

Meet Erin

registered psychologist, phd psychiatry

I am Registered Psychologist in Alberta and I’ve been working in mental health related fields since 2006. I provide therapy services for adults who are struggling with issues related to trauma, sexual abuse/assault, difficult childhoods, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and self-compassion. My therapeutic work is grounded in feminist theory and I use mindfulness based strategies, body (somatic) focused strategies, and cognitive behavioural (CBT) based strategies depending on what I think will be most helpful for each individual person.

I am passionate about issues related to sexualized violence and about making change in the world related to this. I love working with people who have had tough childhoods and figuring out how to help adult life feel better.

Are You Ready to Move Along in Your Healing Journey?

Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you're navigating trauma, rebuilding your sense of self or simply looking for a safe place to grow, you're welcome here.
